Terms of Service
Safety first: Vietnam SideQuest is a leisure and travel game, not a navigation, emergency, tour-guide, accessibility, or safety service. Never trespass, enter a dangerous area, use the app while driving, or ignore local instructions and conditions to complete a task.
1. Agreement
By creating or using a Vietnam SideQuest account, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility and account security
You must be legally able to accept these Terms and use Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for your device, Apple Account, and activity through your account. Contact support if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. The service
The app provides themed city quests, real-world tasks, verification tools, XP, levels, and digital badges. Routes, availability, opening hours, access conditions, task values, and features can change. XP and badges are virtual progress indicators with no cash value, ownership interest, or guaranteed permanence.
4. Real-world safety
- Remain in lawful public areas and follow signs, staff directions, opening hours, and local rules.
- Stay aware of traffic, weather, terrain, crowds, construction, and personal security.
- Do not handle the phone while driving or operating a vehicle.
- Skip any task that appears unsafe, inaccessible, culturally inappropriate, closed, or prohibited.
- Do not photograph identifiable people at close range or record private conversations without permission.
5. Evidence and moderation
You retain rights in evidence you submit. You give the provider limited permission to store, process, and review it only as needed to verify tasks, prevent abuse, and operate the service. Evidence may be accepted automatically, held for moderation, or rejected. A submission does not guarantee XP, a badge, or completion status.
6. Prohibited conduct
You may not use the service to trespass, harass, surveil, deceive, impersonate, endanger, or violate another person's privacy; upload unlawful or rights-infringing material; manipulate location or evidence; probe or disrupt the service; bypass security or task controls; automate submissions; or violate applicable law.
7. Third-party places and services
Landmarks, museums, markets, businesses, transport providers, Apple, map data providers, and Supabase are independent from Vietnam SideQuest unless expressly stated. Mention of a place is descriptive and does not imply sponsorship. Fees, tickets, closures, rules, and accessibility are controlled by the relevant operator.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to operate the service reliably, but internet access, GPS, maps, Apple services, Supabase, venues, and public spaces may be unavailable or inaccurate. Features and content may be corrected, replaced, suspended, or discontinued. Do not rely on the app as the sole source of travel or safety information.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the app or delete your account at any time. We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect people, investigate manipulation or abuse, comply with law, or preserve service integrity. Account deletion is described on the deletion page.
10. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that every route, coordinate, place, verification, translation, or description is complete, current, safe, or suitable for every person. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aleksandr Ponomarev is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss arising from travel decisions, third-party places, unsafe conduct, inaccurate map or GPS data, a compromised device, uploaded content, or third-party outages. Liability that cannot legally be excluded remains unaffected.
12. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam without overriding mandatory protections applicable in your country. Questions or disputes should first be sent in good faith to ponomarev@email.cz.
