Q: Why aren't my photos uploaded anywhere?
A: Chromaku processes everything locally on your device for complete privacy. Your photos never leave your iPhone.
Q: Can I edit the generated haiku?
A: Currently, haiku are generated automatically. You can regenerate new ones using the "New" button or try different styles for varied results.
Q: What makes a good photo for haiku generation?
A: Photos with clear, distinct colors work best. Landscapes, flowers, food, art, and portraits all create interesting haiku. Experiment with different subjects!
Q: How do the different haiku styles work?
A: Each style influences the vocabulary and themes used:
- Traditional: Classic haiku themes with nature focus
- Nature: Emphasis on natural elements and seasons
- Urban: Modern city life and contemporary themes
- Contemplative: Philosophical and meditative tone
- Vibrant: Energetic and colorful expressions
- Random: Surprises you with any of the above styles
Q: Can I delete haiku from my history?
A: Yes! In the History tab, tap the delete button (🗑️) next to any haiku you want to remove.
Q: Why does the app need camera and photo permissions?
A: Camera permission lets you take new photos directly in the app. Photo library permission allows you to select existing photos for analysis. Both are optional - you can deny these permissions and still use the app with limitations.
🐛 Troubleshooting
App crashes or freezes
Try these steps:
- Force close the app and restart it
- Restart your iPhone
- Make sure you have the latest version of Chromaku
- Ensure iOS is up to date

Haiku generation is slow
Color analysis and haiku generation require processing power. Larger images may take a few seconds. For best performance, close other apps and ensure your device has sufficient battery.
Can't select photos
Make sure Chromaku has permission to access your photo library. Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Chromaku and ensure access is enabled.
💡 Tips for Better Haiku
- Try different angles: The same subject can create different haiku based on lighting and framing
- Experiment with styles: Each style interprets colors differently
- Use the "New" button: Generate multiple haiku from the same photo for variety
- Mix color palettes: Photos with both warm and cool colors often create interesting results
- Consider mood: Bright, vibrant photos vs. soft, muted ones will generate different styles
